It’s been a while since my last post, unfortunately have been extremely busy with all kinds of things lately. :( Had some time this weekend, so WordPress 2.1 has been deployed to all hosted sites. Unfortunately, there are some plugins which still have not been fixed to work with 2.1 (e.g. video embedding).

Have just upgraded all WordPress installs across spherebox sites with the latest version. :)

Get the latest zip or tar.gz from here, or if you want just the changes files and/or diff, have a look here.

Mr webhost did some serious upgrades recently, so some stuff went bonkers or were missing a few days ago, but I believe most of the issues have been resolved. The extreme slowness of the connection from here to Malaysia due to the link breakage didn’t help much either. :(

If you’re on a spherebox hosted site and have any issues with your WordPress installation, let me know..

Apologies for the lack of updates as I have been busy with work, then with clearing/packing my stuff before moving out of my apartment, followed by the arrival of my parents and sister from KL who are here to attend my graduation ceremony which has given me the roles of tour guide and chauffeur.

I guess the drought of posts would continue till things settle down. Till then..

Was released earlier today, and have just upgraded all spherebox hosted blogs. :) You can get the changed files zip only here.

Did a couple of minor updates to the active blogs on spherebox yesterday. The list are:

• Addition of Creative Commons rights to the active blogs
• Added WP-notable and Lightbox JS WordPress plugins

Creative Commons was added to specify the rights we keep and what we give permission to freely. Our resident legal expert has a good writeup on Creative Commons and our choice of it here.

WP-notable is a plugin which allows quick social bookmarking (sites like digg, del.icio.us, Blinklist) for blog entries. Although it seems to work fine, it doesn’t seem validate to the XHTML 1.0 Transitional standard (will have to check on that later). Lightbox JS on the other hand allows thumbnailed images to be viewable in its maximised form without having to load a different page but in a pop up viewer instead.

Now for Han Kern to get the dormant community blogs going.. :D

It was released earlier today and is noted to have fixed a lot of security vulnerabilities, so I those who are running Wordpress blogs themselves should update soon.

Have just updated blogs hosted on spherebox. :)

Edit: You can get only the changed files in a zip which would save the time needed in uploading here.
